At Langston Middle School, the Candle of Knowledge is an academic reception and ceremony held at the end of each school year in celebration of students earning Honor or Merit Roll at least twice during the school year.
This year, LMS Principal Mrs. Sheila Hicks announced that a whopping 91% of students at LMS earned the honor of being invited to the ceremony this year! Ms. Tasha Slay, LMS school counselor, sent an invitation and information to families, asking for an RSVP if you plan to attend. Candle of Knowledge will take place on the evening of Monday, May 20 with a dessert reception beginning promptly at 6 p.m., followed by the ceremony at 6:30 p.m.
Congratulations to Alexis Luckey, Brandon Bertoni & Gabi Levy for being selected to deliver speeches during the ceremony and thank you to Miss Emily Cromwell and the orchestra ensemble for performing at the start of the ceremony!
